| Chiropractic
is a separate and distinct science, art and philosophy of health and
healing.
Chiropractic science concerns itself with the relationship between the
structure (primarily the spine) and the function (primarily coordinated
by the nervous system) of the human body as that relationship affects
the
restoration and maintenance of health.
To some people, Chiropractic is a search for greater
health and wholeness
for themselves and their families that goes beyond the treatment of
symptoms.
They feel that health care should not be passively waiting until
disease
strikes - but active health maintenance before problems arise. Others
already
have health problems and are unhappy with the prospect of taking
powerful
prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs that often do little more than
treat the symptoms while the cause of their problem remains. And still
others, tired of drugs and surgery, perhaps told to "learn to live with
it," are searching for something else.

“Get knowledge of the spine,
for this
is
the cause for many diseases.”
Hippocrates

| Chiropractic science is based
on the premise
that the body is a self-healing organism and that the nervous system is
the master control system of the body. The essence of life itself flows
from the brain, down through the spinal cord, then out along a massive
nerve network, in the form of dynamic, intelligent impulses that
literally
create the body anew. This powerful, intelligent life supply,
flowing uninterrupted
throughout the nervous system, gives us normal, natural health.
When the vertebrae and discs in the spine lose
their normal motion
or position, referred to as a Vertebral
Subluxation, they
can cause endangering stress or "interference" to the spinal cord and
spinal
nerves, which acts as the main line of intelligence for the whole body.
This in turn disrupts the function of the tissues or organs these
nerves
control. Subluxations have been shown to be the underlying cause of
many of the
unwanted
health conditions that people suffer from every day.

“Intelligence is present
everywhere in our
bodies...
our own
inner intelligence is far superior to one
we
can try to substitute from the outside.”
Deepak
Chopra, M.D.

| A Doctor of Chiropractic is
the only acknowledged
and highly trained health care provider who utilizes specific
scientific
techniques and procedures to locate, analyze, and correct vertebral
subluxations.
Once detected, the chiropractor performs specific spinal Adjustments to
correct or reduce the subluxation and
return the vertebrae
to a more normal motion and position. This process removes nerve
interference
allowing the body to return to a balanced state of physiological
functioning. |

“The doctor of the future
will give no medicine,
but will interest his
patients in the
care of
the human frame, in
diet, and in the
cause and prevention of
disease."
Thomas A. Edison

In response to the need for
alternative health
care, which focused less on modern day drugs to combat "medical"
problems,
Chiropractic has become the largest non-medical healing art in North
America,
indeed, in the world today! Chiropractic care is a balanced approach to
health and is the leading force in the future of health
care.Chiropractic
respects the innate intelligence we all have within to be healthy
without
drugs or surgery. Over 28 million North Americans a year see a
chiropractor,
and the numbers are growing. In many ways, Chiropractic has retained
its
simplicity in spite of its success. It continues to be a grass-roots
movement,
a true revolution in health care.
